Our Next Step ...

Greetings from the Graves Crew!

If you haven't heard by now, Jason has accepted a job representing KState as faculty member in Research and Extension for Horticulture. (that's a mouth full ... read slowly). He starts November 15th. This is an exciting step as this type of avenue to practice horticulture is the only "dream job" Jason could foresee within horticulture. After graduating from KState with his undergrad he applied for a similar job and was a final candidate, but lacked the needed experience they were looking for. Now, 5 1/2 years later, he has the experience they were looking for and so much more. We see the Spirit moving on our behalf; taking us to a new place for a new season and a fresh start at living out the people God has called us to be.

We are moving. In order to represent this district we need to live there. This is the difficult part for us. We are both excited and yet sad to leave. We love the town of Manhattan and furthermore we love our church. Through our church we have caught a glimpse of the type of people we want to be - people that love without qualifiers, people that give and serve out of who they were made to be, leaders that shepherd us into freedom and not herd us into a box. Our eyes have been opened to HOW BIG GOD IS through this body of believers and what God is doing there. We are incredibly sad to move on, but we trust that God isn't leading us away to abandon us.

We are looking to relocate somewhere within this district. I (Leah) am not particularly excited about the actual town. (I'm convinced there aren't any artists there otherwise the town would have a more aesthetically pleasing element to it. However, I am open to being proven wrong.) But, I am rejoicing over a job that utilizes Jason's heart and giftings and not just his muscles and hands. I am uber excited to support his transition into this new role that will require a lot from him.

Our home. We have put our home on the market believing God's timing will be perfect. The sign is up, we've cleaned and finished some remodel projects and created a website (www.1204haascircle.blogspot.com) all in preparation. You can join with us in praying for our home to move or stay put in God's timing and furthermore that we would remain faithful to Him during the circumstances at hand. It is our desire to get involved there as soon as possible.

The whole Graves Crew is excited for this new adventure - we see God's fingerprints all over the path ahead. One step at a time - little by little we travel far.

We hope you are doing well and we'd love to see you soon!
